FOXBOROUGH, MANew England Patriots’ Wide Receiver Danny Amendola and his Catches for Kids Foundation brought 120 students from Cathedral High School to the New England Patriots joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium Tuesday afternoon.

Cathedral High School students were among the thousands of Patriots fans to experience an inside glimpse of an afternoon practice that showcased the hard work and discipline of the ninety-man roster.

Following practice, Amendola spoke to the students about the importance of academics, perseverance and discipline in the achievement of success.

“Without an education, it is really difficult to get anywhere in life,” said Amendola. “I am just trying to do as much as I can to make sure that all of these kids get the opportunity to succeed and realize their dreams, because every kid deserves that – no matter where they come from or where they go to school.”

In three short weeks, Amendola and his Catches for Kids Foundation will transport the same students to the Walpole Walmart to receive backpacks full of back-to-school supplies and Walmart gift cards to shop for clothing and shoes to ensure that they have the basic items necessary to begin the school year.
