New England Patriots' Danny Amendola and Walpole Walmart Give
120 Cathedral High School Students Back-to-School Supplies
Thursday, September 4, 2014

Walpole, MA - New England Patriots' Wide Receiver Danny Amendola and Walpole Walmart brought 120 students from Cathedral High School to the local retail store on Wednesday evening to prepare them for the new school year through the Catches for Kids Foundation Back to School program.

The students received reusable Walmart tote bags full of back-to-school supplies and $50 Walmart gift cards to shop for clothing, shoes and other basic items necessary to begin the school year.

Amendola personally passed out the school supplies to each student, shook their hands, signed autographs and wished them well in their studies. The students enjoyed a snack before boarding the school bus, ready to take on a new school year.

“Not only is it important to be educated, but to also be prepared to receive that education,” said Amendola. “I am so happy that we were able to give these kids the proper tools that will allow them to maximize their educational experiences, and I am so excited to continue to make things like this happen in this community.”
