BOSTON – (June 9, 2015) – New England Patriots’ Wide Receiver Danny Amendola welcomed 200 guests to towne stove and spirits on Monday, June 8, 2015 for his Second Annual Celebrity Waiter Night, raising more than $230,000 to benefit Danny Amendola’s Catches for Kids Foundation.
The foundation aims to improve the lives of low-income children and families in need by providing daily opportunities, support, resources and life-changing experiences. Proceeds from the evening will help fund community outreach programs, such as Back to School, Going the Distance for Literacy and Catch a Book Rooms, in an effort to fulfill the mission of Danny Amendola’s Catches for Kids Foundation.
For one evening only, several Super Bowl XLIX Champions, including Jake Bequette, LeGarrette Blount, Brandon Bolden, Josh Boyce, Tom Brady, Patrick Chung, James Develin, Aaron Dobson, Julian Edelman, Jimmy Garoppolo, Brandon Gibson, Michael Hoomanawanui, Chandler Jones, Jonathan Krause, Brandon LaFell, Rob Ninkovich, Matthew Slater, Nate Solder, Brian Tyms and Jermaine Wiggins, joined Amendola to trade in their uniforms and helmets for aprons and trays to benefit Amendola’s cause.
In addition to celebrity service from Amendola and his Patriots teammates, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and four courses of world-class cuisine from Executive Chef Oscar Figueroa, accompanied by the finest of wine.
Steve Burton and Paula Ebben of WBZ-TV served as the evening’s emcees, while Daniel J. Flynn of Flynn Auctions served as the evening’s auctioneer during exciting live and silent auctions.
